Flathead Catfishing at Palo Verde Dam
I went up to Palo Verde Dam on the Colorado River for some flathead catfishing. Although smallmouth bass and largemouth bass are in the area, flathead catfishing is always the best. In most cases 3 to six pound catfish can be had in large abundance with flathead catfish up to 45 pounds in size. Catfish usually bite better on hot days in summer. I stuck close to the damn and did some shore fishing. I caught three 4 pound catfish and a few bluegills. It was a fun trip.
