A Weedy Carnero Lake
I recently went fishing at Lake Carnero. The lake was very weedy. I was able to catch a few fifteen ounch trout. Spinners and Spoons worked best. Only artificial lures and flys on barbless hooks can be used. There is a two trout limit so I threw many back. Without a boat ramp it is difficult to launch and only electric trolling motors may be used. Check it out if you do not mind the weeds.

Becker Lake
Fishing was fun at Becker Lake. I launched my boat and immediately started catching fifteen inch rainbow trout. I even was able to catch one 18 inch rainbow trout. Lures and z-rays seemed to work best. The lake only allows barbless hooks and artificial lures. Make sure to only use a 10 horse power or electric trolling motor on your boat. It was beautiful weather as well.

A little love on Lake Mohave. Fishing at Lake Mohave is getting much better. I saw a lot of shad and striped bass. Fishing with crank bait I was able to catch some largemouth bass and bluegill. There is new fish habitat and a fishing peer and ramp that makes access easy. I used my electric trolling motor on my boat as usual. Make sure to clean your boat for any quagga mussels. I caught quite a few stripers up to about twenty inches.

The fishing at Chevelon Canyon Lake is great. I was able to bring in a twenty one inch Brown Trout. We caught a total of about 8 trout in our group. These included brown and rainbow trout. For bait we used worms, flies, and z-rays. If you haven’t tried it then give it a shot.

Lake Alvord here I come!
I was fishing at Lake Alvord again. I was able to pick up some nice sized catfish. I used worms and anchovies as bait as well as shrimp. The hot spots seemed to be in shade during the heat of the day. These catfish had some fight to them. I had the must luck a few feet out.

I took my family fishing last weekend to Rio Vista Pond. It was a lot of fun and everyone caught some catfish. We used some sinkers and worms fishing on the bottom. Rio Vista Fishing is always pretty good and we spent some time camping nearby and loved the recreation. The sizes of the fish varied from 1 pound to a large 8 pound catfish. I recommend trying during the warmer parts of the day. Check out this small lake/pond for yourself.

Fishing at Red Mountain
I was fishing at Red Mountain today. I was able to catch two large sunfish. One was about ten inches and one pound and one was about 11 inches and just over one pound. I used a floating rapala to catch them. They gave me quite a fight and it was a ton of fun. The weather was beautiful with the cool breeze we have had lately. Red Mountain makes for some great fishing.

Water Ranch Lake
The fishing at Water Ranch Lake was excellent. I was able to catch three catfish all of which were pretty large. The biggest of the catfish was about 7 pounds. I used hot dogs for bait. It seemed like everyone around me was catching catfish or blue gills. The water at the lake was pretty clear and in good condition. If you have not fished at Water Ranch Lake recently I highly recommend it.
