Lake Mead Fishing provides a great fishing day

I had a great fishing day at Lake Mead. I quickly caught several stripers using artificial lures. They were about 18 inches long. Anchovies also worked well with trolling crankbaits. Note one of the ramps is under construction. Fish Lake Mead for yourself.

Do not forget that Free Fishing Day in Arizona is Tomorrow.  I will be attending a number of events including one in Tempe.  There is a great event at Lynx Lake in Prescott.  500 pounds of catfish will be stocked.  It should be great for the family.  Check out the Urban Lakes as well.

I lent a hand at a fishing clinic near Topock Marsh at the five mile landing. During a demonstration I actually landed a 9 pound carp. Fishing has also been good for catfish and sunfish. I really needed my boat for this marshy area. Worms and Powerbait seemed to work best.
