Creek fishing can be tricky. I usually approach Creek fishing by wading into the water and hunkering down for a long fight. I visited Beaver Creek and was able to catch rainbow trout and bass fishing on the bottom. 2 inch tubes worked best along with power bait and fly fishing. I camped by the river and cooked them up immediately!

With the recent heavy storms in the White Mountains area heavy snowfall has covered some of my favorite fishing stomping grounds. I set out to fish Big Lake and Crescent Lake but found the lakes covered in ice. I expected this and brought my ice fishing gear. I was largely unsuccessful, but was able to catch some bullheads and sunfish using meal worms and salmon eggs. Channel Catfish were hard to come by in the cold conditions.
